The Workshop is the property inherited by the player character from his/her father at the beginning of the game. It serves as the home base for the player. The Workshop includes a small fenced area, a House, basic crafting stations, and any other items placed by the player.
House[]

The small house located at the workshop is where the player begins and ends each day. At the start of the game, some of the floorboards need to be repaired, and the only furniture inside is a simple bed.
Crafting Stations[]
Further information: Worktable, Assembly Station |
In order to advance in the game and be successful in Portia, the player will need to develop their workshop and crafting capabilities. At the start of the game, there are two crafting stations in the Workshop: the Worktable and the Assembly Station. These basic stations allow the crafting of simple items, as well as other, more advanced crafting stations.
Mailbox[]
Mail is an important means of communication in Portia. Missions, rewards, and more are delivered through the mail. The mailbox is located at the corner of the Workshop nearest to the town. When a letter is waiting to be opened, the unopened mail icon will float above the mailbox.

The Resource Box is a storage box on the ground beside the Workshop's mailbox. At the start of the game, it is unclear what the purpose of the box is; however, after completing particular side missions, the player can begin receiving free resources, such as ore or wood, in the box each morning.
When there are resources to be picked up, an icon can be seen floating above the box.
